Isn't it so true that when you embark upon the journey of befriending the God in yourself, then the God in others starts to befriend you! You can have an expanding world of friends and well wishers from all over the world for the simple reason that you begin to train the mind to see only its beauty and divinity.
Right at the Center of your heart Sits the God. Your senses are in the periphery, in contact with the external objects of names and forms. Mind weaves thoughts as waves in the ocean. When the mind goes out through the senses and meets something that is matter, then it returns back and tells the story of that matter. You can say the mind gets soaked in material vibrations.
Let us take another situation: if you have trained the mind to go out in to the world of matter and see not the outer material stuff but the core of the matter which is its essence and is the soul, then when the mind comes back with the vibrations of soul and spirit, you are vibrating spiritually. When you identify matter as matter, then it is matter. When you identify matter as energy, then it is energy. It is what you see, that you see.
The mind has been trained for eons to identify all that is external as the hard material stuff of life. The mind has always woven its dreams around it, liking something or disliking something. But isn't the whole perception of matter an illusion? Spiritual training is to soak the mind with the perception of true reality.
Learn to talk to your own mind about how it has really been a long time that it has lived with the perception that reality is the changing flux of life. Your mind has always been deprived of true freedom and bliss.
Talk one on one with your own mind! First let the mind be taken into confidence with no strife, no conflict, no sermonizing, no pressure or stressfulness, just a relaxed state of being with the mind to let the understanding dawn like the morning sun, in its own naturalness. Once the understanding happens in a deeper way, then the awakening comes, or rather you are ready to listen to the call from the Divine.
From periphery, you move to the Center. For the periphery is illusion, it is sense bound. The more one relates to the senses and their continual movement toward the external forms, the more materialistic one grows. As a result the Center is further away. As one moves away from the Center (Heart) one feels a sense of deprivation, dissatisfaction, disillusion, and disease.
The God seed is in the heart. It awaits the right ground of the mind to germinate. But as is the nature of Nature, millions of seeds are produced by an oak tree but only one or two germinate into a full grown oak tree. So, also, millions and millions of seed gods are all over the world, but here and there a few germinate into holy beings that radiate the light of God. Those who come to realize the availability of that eternal possibility open up to that, and wake up to till in the soil of mind the holy seed of Divinity. They find that God is the only reality while the other is only an illusion of the externally focused mind. Internally focused mind sees God in everything for that is the only reality.
What are needed are spontaneity, naturalness, innocence and sincerity as your treasures in life. A holy person is one who is mingled with the Whole. The Whole is ever innocent, spontaneous, natural. The whole is ever holy.
Love ever flows in the perennial river of Grace, for Grace, and God are One and the same.
