The most important meditation that we all need to continuously try to practice in life is how we can become more and more mindful of our actions.
If there are too many things for you to do in everyday life then the first thing to do is to try to practice your morning meditation before you jump into action. Don't suggest anything negative to your mind like thoughts that you have too much to do.
After your meditation or after your practice of yoga, then it would be good to sit quietly and just plan out your actions for the whole day; I mean the routine stuff that you are supposed to do. Try to prioritize each one of these works or activities in such a manner that you know that they are in the right time frame on the basis of your experiences from doing them in the past.
For quite some time strive to go about performing your activities on the basis of the priorities that were set in the morning for the day. Most importantly try to do each of these activities with lots of alertness and mindfulness. Also try to practice pauses in between your actions.
Pause, collect yourself, and then consciously do your act. Offer the result of your activities to the Divine and be happy that you completed the work as a divine instrument.
In this manner at night before you go to bed take stock of all your activities that you have performed through out the day, and try to assess what you have done to see for yourself how far you have been successful in doing work by being conscious about the True Doer within you.
Do not jump into too many activities and strictly try to follow your priorities that you have set in the morning before you started your activities of the day. That way you will see that you are not having too much on your plate. If you could not complete anything, don't feel regretful, instead, relax and redo the stuff with joyful mood. Take your life as a beautiful dance or rather more playfully so that you can enjoy your work and be happy at the end of the day. That is exactly what the Divine expects of you. Look at the nature, all is done in its own time and with its own beauty.
Try this out, and you will begin to see how you are progressing in your simple path of karma yoga. Do without doing, play without playing and dance without dancing.
