Making Your Mind Your Best Friend

The first thing to do is to identify what is the cause of your bad memory. If it relates to any person who had caused pain and agony to your heart, it is most important that you release that person from your heart from all the complaints. Till you are ready to forgive that person or the situation that caused it, you can't be free of that bad karmic patch. As such even if you try to forget it, your karma will not allow it to happen as it has to collect its toll and then release you for ever.

This is the technique that I found which worked the best with the students who worked with me with similar problems the world over.

At night before you fall asleep, sit on your bed, and relax your whole body from the crown of your head to the toes and from toes to your head. Once your body is relaxed, just watch your breath for sometime, just watch and you will attain to a state of calmness in your mind.

This is the time when your subconscious mind is open; now you can work with your subconscious mind. Bring the image of the person who has caused you pain, and bring him/her closer and closer to you. Smile to him or her and say that you have no complaints and that you are ready to forgive and release him/her from your memory into the light of Divine forgiveness.

Visualize the person becoming very happy and smiling back to you and acknowledging your love. Feel the person gradually leaving you after a very loving hug which can come only when you are ready to release with love. Dont' forget till you are ready to release with love the karma will not be burnt. Once you can do it, repeat it every night and if possible the first thing early in the morning while you are waking up.

In a few days time you will start feeling a different kind of feeling toward the episode that shook you from inside. Continue to do it till the memory leaves you and helps you evoke the Spiritual aura that will lift you up into Higher Domain of your own Self.

Life reaches a different height the moment one decides to look into the majesty and mystery of the Universe, Nature, and then tries to harmonize with the Laws that governs the Nature and life. Like the law of gravitation. Or the mystery of the human body and the infinite intelligence that is imbued in every cell and its molecular and atomic structure.

The law of cause and effect that comes from the Universe is not just about the past, and what has happened in your life as a result, but there is the same law operating every moment of your daily life in which you are creating the same course of cause and effect chains.

You can't be happy and know peace until you respect the basic laws of the Universe.

The goal of human life is to give up all the transient pleasures of your senses, for this is similar to chasing a shadow. If these pleasures could give you happiness and peace, you would have found it a long time back. But that is not the truth. And your pleasures are not going to help you in the future either.

Time is very precious. Life is more precious. You can't afford to loose this golden opportunity of human birth and your longing to know the Truth, by just childishly chasing the shadow. Wake up and resolve, and move only on the path of being anchored in the virtues which never change with time, Be Who You Are. Live in harmony with the Laws of the Universe and you will find the peace and happiness that is your very Nature.

As you grow in consciousness and as your attitude to life gradually changes into glowing positivity, you will feel that you are being empowered to be in the company of the negative people but not be negatively influenced. On the other hand, your presence in the midst of your friends who are negative would gradually spread the aroma of your positive light and they would gradually turn into a life of positivity.

This may not happen overnight. But as you persevere in your own attitudinal transformation, and while you are grooming your self into positive light, you have to be in the midst of both positive and negative people. You will definitely not run away from the negative people. Instead face them and induce in them the liking for things which are entertainingly positive.

Apart from that, if you are not in the midst of the negative people, how would you know that you are growing into positive light? After all, being with the positive people if you are positive, that is not a big deal. But being in the negative circumstances and situations, if you can still maintain your positive light and positive frame of mind, it proves that your strength of positivism is growing.

So the way I look at it is not to run away from the negative but to face it and take it as a challenge to win over every negative situation and person through your divine light and also the power of your positive mind.

The experience of my life is this, love wins every negative situation. Love is the invincible power before which no evil dark forces can stand for long. Love is like Truth, it always Wins.
