All desires have their roots in our fundamental ignorance of our being separate from the universal Self.
When the Pure Potential Consciousness in its unmanifest state feels the desire to manifest, how can you fathom the reason why? Even in that pre-space state, for the One to be many, there was a need for a desire. From that perspective, the whole universe is the manifested form of the root desire of God to manifest into quadrillions forms and names.
All base instincts of man have their roots to the primal desire.
The desire to unite with the Divine is also a desire that happens when the child feels like it is time to go back HOME. It is the beginning of a desire to annihilate all desires once and for good.
God becomes many through desire. God becomes One again through desire. This is the Divine Play that is beyond human mind and intellect. The world is the best stage for this eternal drama to go on and on!!
