When your cup is filled it spills over, when the cup of your life is filled with positive emotions, then love and compassion, empathy and healing just flow through you. So, fill your cup first. If you have, then you can give. To give first feel that you only are an instrument, so you can always open you heart to give and give to whomever can offer you an opportunity to serve.
You can love God provided you love your own self first, then your family members, your parents, your children if you have any, and also all that life offers to you through the plants and trees, animals and other species of life. Serve whenever you get the opportunity, do anything that would bring a little smile to the other, that would heal anoyjer's pains and agonies.
